25 Feb What’s new at Colwith Farm Distillery
Following the opening last summer of Cornwall’s first plough to bottle distillery, Colwith Farm Distillery has a host of new products, tours and events to tempt visitors in 2019.
New product – Seasonal tipples to try include a Stafford’s Gin Rhubarb and Ginger infusion, a Fowey River Gin Blackberry and Apple infusion and a limited edition Aval Dor Rose and Hibiscus Vodka. All at £39 per 70cl bottle.
New experience – Gin making masterclasses are now available on selected Saturdays throughout the year. The three-hour session includes a guided distillery tour, tasting and gin making experience plus the chance to take home a bottle of your very own gin. Sessions cost £100 per person or £150 for two.
New event – The distillery will be opening its doors for an evening of Cornish celebration on 2nd March in the run up to St Piran’s Day, including live music with folk singer, Will Keating, dancing and cocktails. Tickets cost £10 – the first happening to be held at the distillery last November was a sell-out event.
“We very much want to position Colwith as the region’s first plough to bottle hub for distilling, not simply a gin and vodka distillery,” says owner Steve Dustow. “There are further products in the pipeline along with more events; We have capacity to hire the space out and are encouraging people to get in touch to discuss hosting their own events here too.
“It’s going to be an exciting year ahead,” he concludes.
